I have always loved stained glass. I dreamed of creating kitchen cabinet doors with stained glass inserts. In 2000, I took a stained glass class where I made my first panel, which is still sitting on my window sill 20 years later. The panel has a few cracks when it tipped over while cleaning but is still beautiful.
In 2010, I took a fusing class in which we flatten wine bottles. I fell in love again, this time with fused recycled glass. Over the past ten years, most of my free time has been spent in my glass studio testing different glass in my kiln. I have to admit, I’ve spent a significant amount of time digging through recycling bins that didn’t belong to me. I made fused creations from glass shelves, different types of bottles, vases, anything that was glass.
I am a life long learner and continue taking classes. I would love the opportunity to share my knowledge with you. If you would like to try your hand at creating a custom glass art piece, contact me.
